Progress

Progress is difficult when people aren't willing to compromise and compromise is made all the more difficult when we spend no time listening but lots of time telling people why we're right. It seems that some people get this and are quick to figure out that while their ideas and thoughts are great, they could be magnificent if there was additional input into them.

It strikes me that we live in a world that has so firmly embraced the 'life of me' that we seem no longer able to tolerate the opinions of others. We work at leaving a legacy for others in our work (or play) which often is dismantled as soon as we're gone because it served no purpose other than a monument to ourselves.

God let me hear what others say and embrace betterment in myself and my ideas through their words.
